Dinner with Rafael & family.

We had a check up appointment with our osteopath for Louisa and one for me to try to relieve some arms and hands pain that bothered me for a while, maybe because of working too much on my new laptop without a good position or just stress and breastfeed hormones… Louisa is doing very well, next check up could be around her first birthday.
We enjoyed the nice weather in Cambridge and had a light lunch out with Alexia. We came back home and spent a time in our street because there was a party! Lots of people outside!
We prepared dinner for Rafael, Andrea, Alejandro, and Asahara. We had wonderful chicken brochettes on bbq and lemon tart. It was great to have them around, Alan could speak Portuguese with Andrea, and Louisa played with their kids!

BBQ with Lyra, Kate & Wim.

We spend a stunning afternoon in the garden with Lyra, Kate & Wim. We savored a delicious BBQ and ate a lemon cake that I made without dairy product specially for Lyra! We came back home with plenty of Lyra’s clothes for Louisa 🙂 And a new wonderful game!

In London with Alexia.

Alexia arrived last Thursday and she will stay will us for three weeks in order to make some progress in English. We went to our favorite Indian restaurant in Cambridge: Saffron Brasserie last Friday with Matt & Marcele. As usual Alan took his kurma 🙂 Louisa was lovely!
On Saturday we went to London to visit the National Gallery. Alexia wanted to see The Arnolfini Portrait of Jan van Eyck. We took the chance to look at other wonderful paintings.

We then walked around the river Thames before ending back to Cambridge.

Clos Lucé visit in Amboise.

We visited the castle of Clos Lucé in Amboise, last house of Leonardo Da Vinci. It was an amazing place to visit, the furnished house itself and Leonardo’s inventions in the basement and in the lovely green park.

House warming party in Vendôme.

Anne Poupon invited us to her new “troglodite” house near Vendôme. We spent a wonderful nice day and slept within a “cave-room”! We talked a lot with Eric and Sabrina, it was really nice to catch up with them 🙂 There were a lot of people that came to celebrate the new house and plenty of great food!
