My first concert.

Mum’s flute teacher Arlette organized a concert “Flûte en Janvier” written by Claude-Henry Joubert and conducted by Clément to celebrate her retirement. We had a rehearsal in the morning and we went with all my previous flute teachers for a lunch in Orléans: Florance, Valérie B., Valérie M. & Nelly.
I forgot my flute in Cambridge… so I played with Clément’s one! It was really great to play all together and to see all my old music schoolmates. Louisa stayed all that time with Alan and discovered that Mum plays flute as she is not playing that much these last two years. Louisa seemed to appreciate as she started crying only when we stopped playing!

Biochem meeting & visit to the health clinic.

We all went to PiMS meeting yesterday and today was the CCPN-LiMS meeting at the Biochem. All went pretty well and Louisa enjoyed the talks 😉

We then went to the east barnwell health centre to weight Louisa, she is now 5.36kg. No problem to go to France and Brazil for holidays!

Week-end in Lisbon.

We went to Lisbon for a long week-end by taking a flight from Luton airport. It was my first flight! All went very well. It was a great idea to visit Lisbon and Papai was happy to speak Portuguese there 🙂 We had a really great weather and enjoyed very much walking in the little streets with just a shirt, didn’t look like winter there! We also ate wonderful pastéis de Belém!

We went to a really nice wine restaurant to celebrate the first birthday of Alan as “Papai” 😉

My first immunisation.

Louisa went for her first immunization that consisted of 2 injections given by a nurse containing:

  • Diptheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae (DTaP/IPV/Hib) conjugate vaccine (PEDIACEL)
  • Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (Prevenar) protects against diseases such as: meningitis, bacteraemia and bacteraemic pneumonia

She cried a little bit after. She will get the next jab after our Brazil trip.

We also had a visit with Dr Males for a check up of Louisa’s neck. Things are not getting worth, we have to wait and see.

Visit to osteopath Helen Terentjev.

We went for a visit with Helen Terentjev, an osteopath at the Cambridge Complementary Health Centre recommended by Catherine and Nicolas, for the problem in the neck that Louisa has.
She examined her and recommended us better positions to carry her and to play with her in order to encourage her to turn her head on the right side.
She said that we shouldn’t worry and gave us another appointment after our trip to Lisbon.
